Position Overview:
The Supervising Pharmacist ensures the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of pharmacy services while leading our small team with professionalism, care, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients with warmth and provide knowledgeable, personalized service for prescriptions, OTC products, and health questions.
- Accurately prepare, check, and dispense medications in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Review and interpret prescriptions, ensuring safety, accuracy, and therapeutic appropriateness.
- Maintain professional licensure and stay current on new medications, therapies, and pharmacy best practices.
- Oversee and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a supportive, collaborative work environment.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and storage to minimize waste and ensure availability of key medications.
- Communicate directly with prescribers to clarify orders and resolve patient care issues.
- Lead clinical initiatives such as immunizations, MTM, adherence programs, and chronic disease support.
- Handle insurance claims accurately and efficiently, resolving issues as needed.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and security.
