The AI Principal Engineer is responsible for enhancing the engineering team's productivity through the strategic use of AI. This role will drive the integration of AI into product development, ensuring that AI technologies are leveraged to optimize internal engineering processes and enhance product capabilities. The AI Integration Lead will play a pivotal role in defining product roadmaps, prototyping new concepts, and aligning development with market trends and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of AI technologies into product development and internal engineering processes.
- Develop and prototype new product concepts leveraging AI and data science.
- Define and align product roadmaps with customer needs and market trends.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies to enhance product capabilities.
- Build and maintain robust MLOps pipelines for scalable and reliable AI solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into business value.
- Mentor and lead a team of data scientists and product developers.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- PhD in a relevant field is a plus.
Experience Required
- 5 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data science roles.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful data-driven products, ideally within a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
- Experience in building and maintaining MLOps pipelines and working with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and the discrete manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams of data scientists and product developers.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and other AI techniques.
- Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms and MLOps practices.
