This is a finance position that is responsible for salvaging, recouping and repacking products.
Responsibilities
- Assess and sort all damaged products for recouping.
- Collaborate directly with warehouse management to control shrink.
- Cooperate indirectly with merchandising to ensure proper packaging from vendors.
- Assist with developing a reconciliation program.
- Work with inventory control to assist in reducing company shrink.
- Keep the area clean and neat at all times.
Education
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent preferred.
- 1-3 months of related warehouse distribution experience preferred.
- 18 years of age
- Submit to pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check).
- Able to read, write and communicate effectively, as it relates to the job and the safety regulations.
- Can read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Able to print and speak simple sentences.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Computer skills.
- Capable of applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
