SAP to Data Lake / Lakehouse Migration – Functional Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP to Data Lake / Lakehouse Functional Consultant to lead data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation as part of SAP ERP data migration and modernization initiatives. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, and data engineering teams to ensure accurate and consistent enterprise data integration into modern Data Lake / Lakehouse platforms (Databricks or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze SAP source systems (ECC and/or S/4HANA) across modules such as MM, SD, FICO, SCM, and HR
• Define and maintain source-to-target mappings between SAP data structures and Data Lake/Lakehouse models (Delta Lake or equivalent)
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to capture functional requirements, business rules, and transformation logic
• Support data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation activities with ETL/ELT and data engineering teams
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and validation across migration cycles
• Develop and maintain mapping documents, functional specifications, and data lineage artifacts
• Support master data harmonization, cleansing, governance, and UAT/business validation cycles

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–8 years of experience in SAP and enterprise data migration programs
• Strong functional expertise in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA
• Experience across SAP modules: MM, SD, FICO, SCM, HR
• Strong understanding of SAP data structures (tables, CDS views, IDOCs, extractors)
• Hands-on experience in data mapping, migration, and reconciliation in ERP programs
• Strong SQL and data transformation knowledge
• Experience with Data Lake / Lakehouse platforms (Databricks or equivalent preferred)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience working with ETL/ELT teams (PySpark, ADF or equivalent tools)
• Strong stakeholder management and documentation skills
