Artist/Part-Time Instructor of Piano Lessons.
Private instruction in classical performance techniques, including styles, music reading, pedagogy, and ensemble performance skills. Includes primarily secondary lesson instruction for music education majors and non-major lessons.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a master’s degree in music or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience teaching piano at the collegiate level.
- Professional performance credentials.
- The candidate should have strong attention to detail, knowledge of course content, demonstrated pedagogical ability, as well as the ability to relate well in a classroom and one-on-one environment with college-level students.
- Preference will be given to applicants who could potentially fulfill multiple positions within the Setnor School of Music.
- Being present and instructing weekly lessons during Fall and Spring semesters.
- Set up lesson schedule.
- Update a class syllabus.
- Prepare student assignments.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
- Present instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
- Meet all designated class periods.
- Participate in end-of-semester juries on an as needed basis.
- Participate in spring audition days, including review of on-line music audition materials for assigned prospective students on an as needed basis.
- Submit completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations.
- Grade student assignments and exams in timely manner.
- Provide departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
- Build a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
- Support student performances at music events where possible.
