Job Description
Follow instructions and established procedures to perform a variety of cleaning duties.
Education and Experience
The ability to read, write and follow instructions is necessary.
Skills and Knowledge

Responsibilities
Wash pots, pans and cooking utensils in the Commissary.
Move materials into and out of storage areas in the Bake Shop and Salad Room.
Clean offices, rest rooms, public areas and work areas in the Commissary including sweeping, dusting and mopping.
Remove trash and garbage.
Strip and wax floors.
May help load and unload trucks.
Observe safety regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation.

Physical Requirements
| •Standing and/or walking 85% – 100% of the shift
- Frequent bending at the waist; able to bend to below the knee
- Twisting and bending of head and torso
- Full range of arm movement (extension, twisting, and bending of arm and shoulder, reaching overhead, wiping, etc.)
- Repetitive wrist movement (e.g. wiping, scrubbing, etc.)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist height
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs. overhead
- Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. for a distance of 20 feet
- Frequently work in conditions of extreme heat
- Ability to push and pull up to 250 lbs.
- Exposure to and handling of cleaning products, organic waste, dust
Tools/Equipment
Operate a variety of equipment including vacuum cleaner, trash compacter, mop, broom, buffer, and dish washing machine.
