Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as a Fleet Maintenance Diesel Technician in our Syracuse, NY, location with 100% Company-Paid Medical Benefits & Premiums and Dental, Vision and Life Premiums!
Syracuse Haulers is a full-line waste removal company locally owned and operated who is well established, dedicated and designed to build successful partnerships using our superior customer service. We are very proud of our select staff and are looking for qualified technicians to keep our fleet of Mack, Western Star and Freightliner trucks serviced and maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct inspections and perform diagnostic tests; identify worn and damaged parts
· Conduct test drives; adjust controls and systems
· Complete preventative maintenance schedules
· Continue to update job knowledge
Qualifications and Skills:
· 5 years’ minimum experience in preventative maintenance and Diesel repair
· 5 years’ experience with basic repairs, brakes, air systems, lights and electrical
· Knowledge and/or experience with emissions and after-treatment systems
· Mack-truck experience a must
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Proven mechanical skills
Requirements
· Eligible to work in the U.S
· Must have own tools
