Housekeeper

Position Summary
The Housekeeper / Room Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness, appearance, and guest-ready condition of assigned guestrooms and related work areas. This role must clean rooms efficiently while following SUNdhm procedures, brand standards, and hotel safety expectations.

Core Responsibilities

• Change all used linen and terry daily.
• Clean assigned guestrooms in approximately 22 to 25 minutes per room, in accordance with company and brand standards when assigned normal stayover or checkout cleaning duties.
• Vacuum carpets and clean floors daily.
• Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Dust and clean all furniture, fixtures, headboards, mirrors, picture frames, credenzas, televisions, tables, and related guestroom items.
• Ensure furniture, décor, and room amenities are properly placed in each room type.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, missing items, and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Turn found items in immediately to the Head Housekeeper, supervisor, or person in charge.
• Report suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, or security concerns immediately.
• Follow key-control and guest privacy procedures at all times.
• Position cart safely while cleaning rooms and follow hotel room-entry procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment and report any vacuum, cart, or tool issues promptly.
• Follow all housekeeping rules, checklists, safety procedures, and cleaning processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned in housekeeping department.

Performance Expectations

• Assigned rooms are cleaned fully, correctly, and on time.
• Rooms meet brand, company, and inspection standards.
• Guest property, found items, keys, and room access are handled properly.
• Supplies, carts, and equipment are kept organized and in good condition.
• Safety and cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the shift.

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Stand and walk for most or all of the shift.
• Frequently bend, kneel, lift, carry, reach, push, and pull.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work in hot, cold, dirty, or chemical-exposed environments.
• Work alone or with others depending on assignment.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
