Cleaning Supervisor

Syracuse Cleaning Services is a growing, well-established residential and commercial cleaning company serving Syracuse and the surrounding area. We're looking for a hands-on Cleaning Team Supervisor who can both deliver an exceptional clean and lead a team to the same standard. This is a working supervisor role: you'll spend part of your time cleaning alongside the team and part of it overseeing quality, coordinating the crew, and helping the business run smoothly.

What you'll do

Oversee cleaning technicians to make sure every team member is prepared, properly supplied, and set up for their jobs. Review before-and-after photos and check work quality against our standards, stepping in to correct issues before a client ever sees them. Monitor that technicians are working their assigned shifts and handle day-to-day team issues as they come up. Run team meetings and one-on-one coaching, give ongoing feedback, and conduct at least one surprise quality inspection per month for team members who work outside your hours. Support the hiring process by conducting phone screens, running test cleans, and training new hires to our SOPs. Keep an eye on supply inventory and coordinate what the team needs. Track how long jobs actually take versus estimates and flag inefficiencies. Send a brief end-of-day report summarizing the day's work, any issues, and anything the office needs to know.

What we're looking for

Prior professional cleaning experience is required, and prior experience leading or supervising a team is strongly preferred. You take direction well and follow through — this role carries real responsibility, and we need someone dependable who does what they say they'll do. Strong attention to detail and genuinely high standards for what "clean" means. Comfortable using scheduling and job-tracking apps (we use Jobber and Connecteam — training provided). Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, since you'll travel between job sites. Professional, clear communicator with both clients and teammates. Able to lift and move cleaning equipment and be on your feet for the length of a shift.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours. Weekend availability occasionally helpful but not required.
