Position Overview

This internship supports the Public Health Fire Services Behavioral Health project. Under the general direction of the project lead, the intern provides operational, logistical, documentation, and basic evaluation support for behavioral health education sessions. The Public Health Program and Evaluation Intern is an integral member of the project team, contributing to the efficient delivery, tracking, and assessment of programming designed to support first responder wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Support session logistics, including scheduling coordination, attendance tracking, and follow-up documentation.
• Assist with preparing materials for behavioral health education sessions, ensuring all resources are organized and ready for delivery.
• Maintain organized project notes, trackers, action items, and deliverable documentation to support project continuity.
• Support basic data entry, quality assurance (QA) checks, and evaluation documentation to maintain data integrity.
• Assist with reviewing survey responses, session feedback, and participation data to inform project reporting.
• Coordinate with internal project leads to ensure deliverables are updated and submitted on time.
• Provide administrative and program support related to project planning, session delivery, and reporting.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Current or recent graduate student in public health, psychology, behavioral health, health education, social work, epidemiology, evaluation, or a related field.
• Certifications: None required.
• Experience: Prior experience with public health projects, community health programs, training coordination, or evaluation support preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage logistics, deadlines, and multiple moving pieces. Professional communication skills with the ability to work independently with clear direction. Comfort supporting client-facing public health projects behind the scenes.
