Job Summary

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care by educating patients about procedures, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures and DEXA exams in accordance with established protocols and standards
- Provide compassionate patient education, explaining procedures and equipment to reduce anxiety and ensure understanding
- Obtain and document complete patient medical history and necessary consents prior to procedures
- Accurately document all procedures and complete appropriate billing in EHR and PACS systems
- Maintain compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulatory requirements
- Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of all radiology equipment and procedure rooms
- Adhere to Code of Conduct and compliance policies, addressing concerns appropriately
- Work flexibly across main campus and satellite facilities as needed
- Follow department timekeeping and scheduling procedures
- Education: Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Licensure/Certification:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R)
- California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license in Radiography and Mammography
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Experience:
- Preferred: Mammography screening experience
- Proficiency in operating mammography and DEXA equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to handle difficult situations with professionalism and calm demeanor
- Adaptability to changing priorities and scheduling needs
