The Opportunity:
The Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative is responsible for transforming customer inquiries into comprehensive quotations, identifying market trends through proactive outreach, and managing the end-to-end order fulfillment process. This role serves as a vital technical liaison between the customer and our internal engineering teams to ensure project specifications and delivery timelines are met with professional excellence.
Principle Accountabilities
Key Qualifications
· Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Must be able to synthesize complex inputs from Engineering to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders at the customer level.
· Industry Knowledge: General understanding of exporting procedures and international trade compliance.
· Software Proficiency: Strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with CRM or ERP data entry.
· Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on professional technical correspondence.
Essential Responsibilities
· Quote & Order Management: Develop accurate pricing and formal quotations; process orders and change orders with high attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
· Customer Advocacy: Act as the primary point of contact for incoming calls, providing prompt and professional responses to inquiries regarding product information, order status, and technical questions.
· Technical Liaison: Collaborate closely with the Engineering department to translate customer requirements into actionable internal orders.
· Market Development: Manages quote follow-ups and collaborates closely with Outside Sales to monitor market trends and capitalize on emerging business opportunities.
· Marketing Support: Assist in the implementation of advertising projects and manage the distribution of product literature and marketing materials.
· Record Keeping: Highly organized and capable of following internal procedures to organize and control electronic files for all quotes, orders, and customer correspondence.
· Team Collaboration: Maintain a positive, customer-oriented focus and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Education & Experience
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
· Required Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Inside Sales or Customer Service within a manufacturing or technical environment.
· Preferred Experience: Experience with international shipping/exporting and bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
