NJDOE Educational Services School Counselor #2702 Certification Required
EFFECTIVE: 2026-2027 School Year
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate School Counselor Endorsement;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community groups and organizations;
- Knowledge of testing and evaluation, theories of individual and group guidance techniques, secondary school guidance program design, and career educational information and placement;
- Knowledge of computerized master schedule development desirable;
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
REPORTS TO: Principal
SALARY RANGE: $80,912 - 99,457
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-month position
