What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL-A Driver - Muskegon-based (2+ yrs exp required) position at SYP Trucking?
SYP Trucking is a small Muskegon-based company. We primarily stay in Michigan/home every day, trucks park at our shop every night. We have our own garage, we have a mix of manual and automatic transmission trucks, and a mix of daycabs and sleepers - what do you want to drive? All of our employees are W-2, paid by direct deposit.
We are always looking for good drivers, right now we have a couple of openings:
- General freight - Mostly Michigan, home daily. Pay is by primarily the mile. No-touch freight, 53' dry van trailers, usually Monday-Friday work.
- Local dedicated shuttle driver - This position would be primarily in and around Muskegon, truck parks at our shop every night. Pay would be hourly for this work, usually 6-10 hours/day, hauling 53' dry vans, no touch freight.
To all full-time employees, we offer:

Driver qualifications:
- Current CDL and med card
- At least 1 year verifiable CDL-A driving experience, preferably 2
- Decent driving record - doesn't have to be perfect, but no major infractions or repeat issues within the past 5 years
- Reliable - shows up on time as scheduled
- Experience hauling lead trailers (dirt/gravel) a big plus
