Laboratory Associate I

As a Laboratory Associate I, you will be joining our pre-clinical team and working in the manufacturing facility producing high quality CRISPR guides and associated products. This role has direct responsibility for the synthesis and purification of our gRNA products in the Research Use Only factory. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a desire to learn and adapt to new processes, and familiarity with safe laboratory practices. This role will combine hands-on laboratory protocols with advanced automation to ensure the timely delivery of high quality products to our customers. Shift Details: Swing shift 2:30pm to 11:00pm Monday - Friday What You'll Do:Responsible for synthesizing oligonucleotides by following established SOP’s which consists of but not limited to:Operate complex robotic systems to manage liquid product through a highly automated workflowMix, store, and dispose of chemical solutionsPrint labels for bottles, vials, and boxesPackage, seal, inventory, and ship productsEnsure laboratory products and supplies are maintained and stocked Capture production data in compliance with standard guidelines Maintaining and perform cleaning to ensure complaint laboratory environmentEdits manufacturing documents/SOPs as needed to reflect current best practices and current processes.Troubleshoots and resolves problems arising from day to day operations.Escalate issues that are out of the scope of normal production.If necessary, follow up by creating new tickets to log, investigate and/or resolve issues.Perform inventory reconciliationPractice and drive continuous process improvement with teamHandle and dispose of hazardous chemicalsAbout You:Degree required/preferred AA in Chemistry, Biotech Certification,or in lieu of degree relevant work experienceSelf starter who is comfortable working with standard operating proceduresDemonstrates a high level of integrity and accountabilityDemonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team, to meet departmental goalsDesire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment with a strong commitment to qualityStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsAble to multi-task and prioritize work effectivelyMust be able to lift/move up to 25 poundsMust be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods up to four (4) hours at a timeCompany Perks & Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision benefits401k ProgramCatered meals on Tuesday and ThursdayPaid parental leaveFlexible paid time off8% shift differential will be added for swing shift Our Mission Synthego® is a pioneering force in the biotechnology industry, dedicated to advancing the frontiers of CRISPR cell and gene therapies through cutting-edge CRISPR technology and expertise.
