Syntax Talent Solutions is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Frederick, Maryland. The ideal candidate will possess a BS or BA degree in a related field and have 2-4 years of procurement experience, particularly within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage procurement strategies that align with the STULZ business model.
- Execute sourcing and negotiation processes to secure cost-effective and quality materials.
- Expedite orders and resolve issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to maintain high standards of customer service and teamwork.
- Analyze and interpret engineering specifications and drawings/prints.
- Maintain accurate records and reports using SAP and MRP systems.
- Utilize analytical skills and Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel, to manage data and reporting.
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment, managing multiple tasks and changing priorities effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
- BS or BA degree in a related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of procurement experience required.
- High level of commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- SAP experience preferred; MRP experience a must.
- Strong sourcing, negotiation, expediting, interpersonal, cost analysis, and problem resolution skills.
- Detail-oriented with a comprehensive understanding of engineering specifications and drawings/prints.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic math skills required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms, stoop, and talk or hear regularly.
- Frequently required to walk.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
