What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scientist/Chemist, Analytical Development position at Synoligo Biotechnologies, Inc?

The products we made have already been applied in advancing a scientific breakthrough discovery, improving a diagnostic assay to detect the next pandemic quicker and earlier, and identifying a solution for curing a rare genetic disease.

The Analytical Chemist/Scientist will perform analytical method development to support oligo synthesis in a high throughput, fast paced, and time sensitive environment utilizing state-of-art equipment.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Independently perform analytical method transfer, development, qualification and validation in the areas of chromatography (reverse phase, anion exchange, size exclusion), mass spectrometry, endotoxin, Karl-Fischer, gas chromatography, and ICP etc following ICH Quality guidlines
- Perform analytical testing of oligonucleotide and its conjugate to support product release
- Write and review analytical protocol and report
- Perform routine maintenance of analytical equipment
- Set up new analytical testing capabilities from vendor selection, equipment procurement to protocol creation
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry with 3 years of direct working experience in pharmaceutical/biotech setting. Title will depend on th experience level of the successful candidate
- Prior (bio)organic laboratory experience preferred
- Hands on experience with HPLC and MS is required
- Prior experience on oligo or peptide synthesis is a plus
- Self-motivated and able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
