As an Oligonucleotide Molecular Biologist, you will be working alongside a small team of highly motivated scientists. Responsible for oligonucleotide assay development and screening, you will help influence the advancements of science, your career, and a growing biotechnology start-up.
What you'll do in this role
· Develop and execute in vitro cell based assay for RNA therapeutics screening of potency, off-target, cytotoxicity, etc. to support customers’ discovery programs
· Perform mRNA/cirRNA synthesis, purification and characterization.
· Support internal instrument validation, assay development and optimization and SOPs establishment
· Optimize and streamline in-house screening process with automation/liquid handler and data management process
· Analyze assay datasets and report data in a timely manner
· Support Biology lab reagent stock, equipment maintenance and consumables management
What you bring to the table
· B.S./M.S. in Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
· 1-3 year’s relevant experience in biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated accomplishments.
· Hands-on experience with qPCR, digital PCR, luciferase reporter assay, RNA/DNA extraction, mRNA, IVT is required.
· A track record of working on mammalian, primary and iPSC cell lines culture, transfection, electroporation, etc. is required.
· Experience with developing high-throughput assay with automation is highly preferred.
· Excellent communications, organization, and time management skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
