Spanish Interpreter

Position Summary

SYNLAB Pharma Institute Aachen is seeking a full-time **Spanish Interpreter** to join our remote team. This role is responsible for providing accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation and translation services to support communication between Spanish-speaking individuals and internal teams across clinical, scientific, and administrative environments. The successful candidate will ensure clear communication while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and linguistic accuracy.

Responsibilities

* Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between Spanish and English during virtual meetings, telephone calls, conferences, and other professional interactions.

* Translate reports, emails, technical documents, medical information, presentations, and other written materials with accuracy and attention to context.

* Facilitate effective communication between clinical, laboratory, scientific, administrative, and business teams.

* Ensure the accurate use of medical, pharmaceutical, and technical terminology during interpretation and translation assignments.

* Maintain confidentiality and comply with professional ethics and applicable privacy requirements.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support multilingual communication across projects and operations.

* Manage interpretation requests, prioritize assignments, and maintain accurate records of completed work.

* Research industry-specific terminology to ensure consistency and accuracy across communications.

* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain interpreting best practices.

Qualifications

* Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Demonstrated experience providing consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in professional settings.

* Experience translating written documents between Spanish and English with a high degree of accuracy.

* Strong knowledge of medical, pharmaceutical, scientific, or technical terminology.

* Previous experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, laboratory services, or a related industry is preferred.

* Excellent listening, interpersonal, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments in a remote environment.

* Proficiency with video conferencing platforms, remote communication tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

* Professional interpreter or translator certification is preferred.

* Bachelor's degree in Translation, Interpretation, Languages, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
