Job Description
- Manage complex regulatory requirements for international shipments and escalations
- Drive and lead positive change and continuous improvement
- Lead the optimization of NA foreign trade operations and duty spend as well as monitoring geopolitical and trade shifts
- Management of supplier relationships (Global 4PL and Lead Customs Broker) through monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews with auditable tracking of actions and resolutions
- Overseeing import/export/FTZ processes ensuring compliance with trade regulations and handling compliance issues
- Ensure coordination with internal stakeholders: planning, trade compliance, finance, global logistics, production
- Support regional implementation of global initiatives by resourcing and networking with other departments to support successful outcomes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain or similar field, International Trade / Business and/or additional customs certification preferred
- 5 years of Import/Export experience
- 3 years of management experience
- International logistics experience with chemical industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of SAP and logistics management systems such as GTS and GTNexus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in English is essential, other languages are a plus
- Ability to work in a challenging and busy environment
