What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Accountant position at Synergy Staffing Services, LLC?
A growing Kansas City company is looking for an experienced Project Accountant to add to their team and play an instrumental, hands-on role supporting the accounting department in day to day operations.
The Senior Project Accountant will handle a variety of tasks that includes:
- Manage the financial information related to projects
- Process AIA applications and forms
- Reviews and process contracts
- Handle purchase orders
- Review and approve invoices from project managers
- Collect, review, and process subcontractor/supplier monthly project invoice
- Ensure proper payments to all subcontractors and major suppliers
- General ledger
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- 3-5 years of experience within the construction industry required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint
- Excellent Excel skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Adaptability, flexibility, multi-tasking and problem-solving
