Job Overview
Synergy Security Services is looking to hire seasoned Account Manager for Columbus, GA area. The Account Manager is responsible for the overall safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and hospital assets. This role develops, implements, and manages comprehensive security programs, emergency preparedness plans, and risk mitigation strategies in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all hospital security operations and personnel
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols
- Oversee access control systems, surveillance (CCTV), and alarm systems
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response plans (e.g., active shooter, fire, disaster events)
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, local law enforcement, and regulatory agencies
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
- Investigate incidents, security breaches, and workplace violence cases
- Manage security team, staffing, scheduling, and training programs
- Provide security awareness training for hospital staff
- Oversee patient and visitor safety programs, including de-escalation strategies
- Maintain detailed reports and documentation of incidents and activities
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Experience:
- 7–10 years of security or law enforcement experience
- 3–5 years in a leadership or management role
- Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting strongly preferred
- De-escalation training
Certifications (preferred):
- Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA)
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
- FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) training
- MOAD (Instructor)
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass the firearms course mandated by the Secretary of State
Work Environment
- Hospital/healthcare facility setting
- May require on-call availability for emergencies
- Exposure to high stress or potentially volatile situations
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to patrol facilities and respond quickly to incidents
- May require standing, walking, and occasional physical intervention
