Schedule: Monday thru Friday - 1st shift 7:30am to 4pm

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficient and accurate packing of orders, utilizing computer knowledge for inventory management, and ensuring accurate and timely shipping processes. This role requires a keen understanding of warehouse operations, strong computer skills, and proficiency in shipping procedures.
Responsibilities
Order Picking and Packing
Accurately pick items from designated locations based on order specifications.
Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit.
Perform quality checks on picked and packed items.
Regularly update and maintain accurate records of stock movements.
Conduct regular cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
Prepare shipping documents, including labels and packing slips.
Verify shipping addresses and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS)/ERP software for order processing and inventory management.
Familiarity with basic office software for data entry and communication.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to computer systems.
Conduct thorough checks on picked and packed items to maintain quality standards.
Report and address any discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Training in logistics is a plus.
Ability to work on multiple orders simultaneously when required.
Proven experience in warehouse operations, especially in picking, packing, and shipping.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in using warehouse management systems.
Knowledge of shipping regulations, carrier coordination, and labeling requirements.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
