What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ortho Tech for Orthopedic Medical Group position at SYNERGY ORTHOPEDIC SPECIALISTS INC?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist provider during office visit or surgery
- Entering medical data in EHR
- Maintain clinical area clean and organized
- Manage medical supplies
DUTIES:
- Greet patients with a smile
- Assist the providers with patients in exam rooms
- Enter vitals, history, and other medical information in EMR
- Perform data entry
- Provide patient care as instructed by the provider
- Assist the providers with procedures
- Removal of sutures and/or stitches
- Apply/remove casts, braces and splints
- Stocking and cleaning the exam rooms
- Attend all meetings and trainings as required
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Office Manager
- Assist the providers with patients in exam rooms
- Enter vitals, history, and other medical information in EMR
- Complete orders and forms
- Perform data entry
- Scheduling appointments
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Associate’s Degree in healthcare Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Orthopedic Tech Certification Required
- Experience: 2 years of office experience
- Medical office experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires prolonged sitting, frequent mobility, and some bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient for and proficiency in the use of office machines such as telephone, computers, copier/fax machine, and other equipment as necessary.
- Require vision and hearing within a normal range.
- Lifting of up to 30 pounds.
