Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with disabilities or special needs. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to various situations while ensuring a safe and clean environment. The current schedule is Monday - Friday 9:00am - 1:00 pm.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Provide medication reminders when appropriate.
- Monitor patients’ health by checking vital signs and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being, including memory care exercises.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by following hygiene protocols.
- Work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
Qualifications
- 1 yr of proven experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in CPR/First aid is highly desirable.
- Experience working with the elderly, is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform lifting as required by client needs.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean environment and adhering to safety protocols.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Valid drivers license and auto insurance.
