Key Responsibilities
-
Assist in Therapy Sessions:
Work under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) to implement treatment plans and assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities aimed at improving physical, emotional, and developmental well-being. -
Patient Assessment:
Assist with gathering patient information, documenting progress, and reporting any changes in patient condition to the supervising OTR. -
Treatment Plan Development:
Collaborate with the OTR to develop and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress. -
Patient & Family Education:
Instruct patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities to be performed at home to support recovery and independence. -
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility standards.
Qualifications

Education:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program -
Certification:
NBCOT certification required -
Licensure:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
