Key Responsibilities:
• Manage tax abatement programs: Track compliance obligations, coordinate with local taxing authorities, and ensure timely filing of documentation.
• Execute SOX testing: Perform procedures for key controls across inventory, accruals, expense reporting, and designated areas; document results and remediate findings.
• Government compliance reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory filings, including Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports.
• Audit support: Assist internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with control owners.
• Control frameworks: Monitor and maintain internal control frameworks, identifying gaps and recommending process improvements.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with accounting, operations, legal, and tax teams to ensure enterprise-wide compliance.
• Deadline management: Maintain and update compliance calendars to track deadlines and ensure no reporting obligations are missed.
• Documentation: Assist in developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and training materials. What We Are Looking For
