Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated RCM Solution Engineer & eClinicalWorks Implementation Specialist to lead eCW client configurations, optimize revenue cycle workflows, and ensure seamless EDI compliance. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, healthcare RCM knowledge, and hands-on experience with eCW configuration, super-user implementation, and EDI transaction sets (835/837).
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and optimize eCW platform to support client-specific workflows, revenue cycle requirements, and payer-specific EDI setups.
- Manage full-cycle eCW implementation, including discovery, setup, validation, user training, go-live support, and ongoing optimization.
- Serve as primary liaison between operations, IT, and payer representatives to ensure configuration accuracy and data compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues in real-time to maintain claims processing velocity.
- Collaborate with RCM, EDI, and Continuous Improvement teams to define technical specs for billing, remittance, and encounter submission logic.
- Interpret, analyze, and apply 835/837 transaction data to drive workflow improvements and automation rules.
- Conduct payer-specific configuration for clearinghouse connections, rejection avoidance, and compliance with unique payer rules.
- Document technical configurations, workflows, and standard operating procedures to ensure scalable knowledge transfer.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW), including platform configuration, billing module setup, and EDI customization.
- Completion of eCW Super User or Advanced Implementation training.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) with emphasis on FQHCs, billing, collections, and compliance.
- Expertise in 835 (Remittance Advice) and 837 (Claims) transaction sets.
- Solid understanding of clearinghouse processes, payer EDI requirements, and claim lifecycle.
- Experience working directly with clinical, billing, and IT stakeholders to deliver system optimization projects.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with WorkSmart MD or similar RCM automation platforms.
- Experience with integrating 3rd-party APIs, interfaces, or custom EDI configurations.
- Exposure to project management or implementation leadership in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of FQHC-specific billing nuances and compliance guidelines (e.g., UDS, sliding fee scales, etc.).
