TITLE: .Net Developer
LOCATION: Birmingham, AL
ANTICIPATED DURATION: Long-term Contract
.Net Developer Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for software application development, support, and technical expertise in support of generation applications. The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, implementing, integrating, and supporting application solutions (web and batch applications). Microsoft .NET is the primary development platform. The successful candidate ensures systems are developed, maintained, and operated to attain highly accurate and dependable business solutions. The successful candidate should not only have a strong technical background but the desire to learn business concepts and processes.
.Net Developer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business, or related degree (preferred)
- Experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, integrating, and supporting applications (C# .NET web and batch applications) (required)
- 3 years of hands-on experience with development
- 3 years of hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle....)
- Strong all-around development and technical skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and application domains.
- Solid experience in all areas of the Microsoft .NET development platform and other Microsoft technologies is required. Knowledge areas include:
- Microsoft .NET and .NET Framework; C#, ASP.NET (Blazor, Razor Pages, or MVC), ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework
- Web development experience including: JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, and Angular
- Visual Studio
- REST-based service development is a plus
- Experience using relational databases and SQL. SQL Server, Oracle, data modeling, and O/R mapping knowledge is required
.Net Developer Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Source Control, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery is a plus.
- Experience with Git, TeamCity, and GitHub Enterprise is a plus.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $50.00 to $63.00 an hour (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
