Our client in Bethel Park is seeking a Service Engineer Duties:- Perform repairs, periodic maintenance, installations, and field analyses on analytical instruments in a safe and timely manner.- Conduct instrument calibrations, check-ins, installations, and Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing.- Prepare all necessary tools, parts, and equipment before each job to ensure efficiency.- Schedule and coordinate travel arrangements for timely and cost-effective service delivery.- Train and qualify other technicians on instrumentation once qualified.- Maintain detailed and accurate service documentation, including obtaining customer signatures where required.- Communicate daily with the main office regarding job status, issues, and delays.- Provide technical support to customers and other technicians via phone, remote access, or on-site visits.- Advise customers on maintenance actions to ensure continued equipment reliability.- Report customer feedback, potential sales opportunities, and equipment upgrade needs to management.- Recommend process improvements to enhance service efficiency and documentation accuracy.- Follow all company safety policies and comply with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.Requirements:- Associate degree (two-year) in Electronics or related technical field.- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in metal identification and sorting using one or more of the following methods:Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES)Spark testingChemical spot testingX-ray analysis- At least 2 years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and programming optical-emission spectrometers.- Working knowledge of steel types, their characteristics, and differentiation methods.- Familiarity with applicable calibration procedures, analytical methods, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.- Basic understanding of electrical systems and sample preparation for spectrometric analysis.- Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer communication skills.- Ability to travel as required for service assignments.#ZRPB
