Position Overview
The Production Manager oversees all daily operations within the Production and Packaging functions at the facility. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for safety, quality, efficiency, and team performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production and packaging operations, ensuring schedules are met and workflows, staffing, and materials support customer demand
- Supervise and develop supervisors, leads, and hourly employees; manage hiring, training, performance, and accountability
- Foster a safe, organized, and highly engaged production environment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, including the safe handling of regulated materials
- Drive quality and operational efficiency by maintaining the quality system, monitoring product standards, and implementing process improvements
- Partner cross-functionally with inventory, maintenance, and leadership teams to support production planning and facility expansion initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of production or manufacturing management experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work a consistent weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm)
- Proven ability to manage operations in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in chemical, industrial, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with compliance-driven production operations
