- Independently manage a substantial docket of complex commercial litigation matters from filing through settlement or trial.
- Draft and argue substantive, procedural, evidentiary, and discovery motions; handle contested hearings and mediations.
- Take and defend depositions involving experts, corporate representatives, property owners, and fact witnesses.
- Work closely with appraisal, valuation, and other experts while preparing clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
- Prepare matters for trial, serve as first or second chair, negotiate with opposing counsel, manage discovery, mentor junior attorneys, and help improve firm litigation systems.
- Active law license in good standing.
- 10 years of meaningful civil litigation experience; exceptionally strong litigation experience may be considered with somewhat fewer years.
- Substantial experience taking and defending depositions, including expert and corporate representative depositions.
- Significant motion practice, contested hearing, mediation, and first or second chair trial experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, organizational, communication, judgment, and case management skills with the ability to work independently.
