Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.

- Planning and conducting engineering activities.
- Use of advanced techniques, practical field experience, and decision-making authority on engineering problems.
- Participation in leading teams of field employees, technicians, engineers, and other personnel.
- Developing and directing important projects or field assignments with complex features. Includes performing engineering studies, proposing solutions to engineering-related problems, and developing models for improvement programs.
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 4 years of relevant job experience.
- Preferred Master's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience maintaining State Estimator technical applications.
- Familiarity with Energy Management System (EMS) including State Estimator (SE), Contingency Analysis (CA), and N-1 conditions operating practices.
- Familiar with PSSE or TARA applications.
- Ability to provide operational feedback to improve EMS system models based on real-time measurements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
- Good interpersonal skills for building relationships within the team.
- Electrical Engineer-utility experience.
- This position requires performing system studies so knowledge of the electrical system and study tools (EMS, ADMS, PSSE, TARA) are required.
