Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (Level II Trauma)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment at a busy Level II Trauma Center. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled ER nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and has experience caring for patients across all age groups.

Department: Emergency Department (ED) - Level II Trauma Center
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment at a busy Level II Trauma Center. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled ER nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and has experience caring for patients across all age groups.
Schedule
- 13-week travel assignment
- 12-hour shifts (day/night schedule based on facility needs)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions.
- Assess, triage, monitor, and treat patients in a high-volume Emergency Department.
- Care for newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
- Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver timely, high-quality care.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions as required.
- Respond rapidly to trauma activations, medical emergencies, and critical patient situations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and emergency care protocols.

- 44-bed Emergency Department
- 200-280 patient visits per day
- High-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a large, busy hospital.
- Recent experience treating pediatric and psychiatric patients is required.
- Active Illinois RN License.
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- TNCC, ENPC, and ECRN certifications are preferred.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and emergency response skills.
- Candidates must have a permanent residence more than 50 miles from the facility.
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel assignment.
