Responsibilities
- Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings to determine project scope.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify project requirements.
- Develop accurate material take-offs, quantity calculations, and project cost estimates.
- Prepare qualified proposals based on bid documents and defined scope of work.
- Review revisions to drawings and specifications and update estimates accordingly.
- Identify and resolve conflicts between drawings and specifications.
- Determine material costs, specialty product scrap factors, and required buyout items.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Project Management, Detailing, and Purchasing.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and gather customer feedback regarding scope and pricing.
- Recommend appropriate products based on customer requirements.
- Maintain awareness of market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Perform duties in accordance with company safety, quality, engineering, and operational standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of drafting and estimating experience.
- 1-3 years of sales experience preferred.
- Experience with structural steel estimating preferred.
- Structural steel drafting experience is beneficial.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience using AutoCAD and ERP systems.
- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
