Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate the needs of clients, internal design and technical staff, and outside consultants.
- Serve as the firm's representative, managing all project-related communications on a day-to-day basis.
- Lead design development efforts, including production and coordination of preliminary design and construction document packages for diverse projects.
- Provide technical expertise in project planning, building design, and construction detailing for renovation and new construction projects.
- Research and develop architectural details and specifications.
- Act as project team leader to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Review work progress reports and communicate needs or concerns with team members.
- Perform Construction Administration duties, including Reviewing submittals, Responding to RFIs, Attending on-site project meetings and walkthroughs, Reviewing pay applications.
- Perform Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) using Revit software.
- Provide Revit training to the staff as needed.
- Attend in-house meetings, including design meetings, monthly project management meetings, and Revit Users Group meetings.
- NY and/or Vermont State Licensure as a Registered Architect, or ability to obtain within three years.
- 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professional relationships.
- Highly organized, flexible, and collaborative team player with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated proficiency across all phases of project design and management, from preliminary design to construction documentation and administration.
- Solid understanding of Building codes and ADA requirements, Energy-efficient building design principles, Various commercial building types and construction methods
- Strong writing skills for preparing clear, concise reports, emails, and design presentations.
- Proficiency in Revit 2018, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SketchUp
- Experience with Adobe graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and project management tools (Procore, Prolog) preferred.
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new design and architectural software tools.
