Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local corporate tax returns.
- Perform tax research and analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities and compliance risks.
- Support tax audits and collaborate with finance teams, legal teams, and external auditors.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and evaluate their impact on company tax positions.
- Develop tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities.
- Maintain accurate tax documentation, filings, and supporting workpapers.
- Assist with tax provisions and income tax-related financial statement disclosures.
- Provide guidance on tax compliance and reporting requirements.
- 3 years of experience in corporate tax accounting or public accounting with a focus on corporate tax.
- Strong understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
- 2 years of experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Familiarity with Lacerte or similar tax software preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
- CPA certification or equivalent designation is a plus.
