What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer Water Resources Drainage position at Synectics Inc.?
What You'll Do
- Perform engineering studies, drainage analysis, and water resources designs
- Create drawings, layouts, and maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads
- Conduct field investigations and inspections
- Manage transportation, municipal, and private development projects
- Mentor junior staff
- Oversee project workflows, quality control, and client communication
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in water resources, drainage design, or project management
- Technical proficiency in drainage analysis and engineering design
- Knowledge of DOT or municipal standards (preferred)
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation/InRoads
- South Dakota PE license preferred but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple responsibilities
