Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance.

• Contribute to the monthly close process by completing account reconciliations, recording journal entries, and processing monthly accounting transactions.

• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Assist with tax-related activities including year-end 1099 filings and payroll tax filings.

• Support month-end, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with various departments to support financial decision-making.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 0-3 years of accounting or finance-related experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to conduct critical decision-making and financial analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or prior experience in manufacturing, public accounting, or corporate accounting.

• Experience with ERP systems.

• Familiarity with cost accounting principles.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Data analysis and reporting skills.

• Financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.

• General ledger management.

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
