- Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems; and employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems
- Principal areas of responsibility include requirements management, coordination of internal and external action items, and communications with internal and external stakeholders
- Establishes and maintains communication with project team leaders, NAVAIRSYSCOM officials, competency management and IPT team members to ensure Systems Engineering practices and processes are followed appropriately
- Lead Risk Management process within the international team
- Respond to engineering taskers as directed by the Program Office leadership
- Prepares project correspondence such as technical reports, letters, and memorandums
- Serves as PMA-251’s Systems Engineering representative and provides technical inputs and prepares appropriate correspondence and reports such as trip reports, meeting action items, etc
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance
- Must have a Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university
- ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience
- Must have at least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD systems
- Prior involvement and experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs required
- Understanding of program management, acquisition processes, and international defense cooperation strongly desired
- Demonstrated experience in the area of engineering expertise is required
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders across U.S. Navy, partners, and industry to ensure program milestones and deliverables are met
