Our challenge
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the evolution of enterprise marketing and client communication platforms built on Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, architects, compliance partners, and Agile delivery teams to define product strategy, manage priorities, and drive execution of platform enhancements.
The ideal candidate combines strong product ownership expertise with deep Salesforce knowledge, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements. This individual will serve as both a strategic product leader and platform subject matter expert, ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $115K to $120K per annum & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring work is prioritized based on business value, risk, and strategic objectives.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, PI planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Create detailed epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Architects, and Development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Make day-to-day prioritization decisions to maximize team effectiveness and delivery outcomes.
- Collaborate with architects and technical teams to define solution approaches and evaluate impacts across integrated systems.
- Understand Salesforce data models, object relationships, reporting capabilities, and platform limitations.
- Partner with technology teams to support solution design, integration discussions, and release planning.
- Support product capabilities leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Working knowledge of Marketing Cloud capabilities including Journey Builder, Data Extensions, Contact Builder, and Automation Studio is highly desirable.
- Facilitate discussions with business, technology, compliance, legal, and risk stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
- Build strong relationships across multiple lines of business and drive alignment among diverse stakeholder groups.
- Communicate priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress to audiences ranging from working teams to executive leadership.
- Lead requirement workshops, solution reviews, and product demonstrations.
Requirements:
- Safe PO/PM Certification
- Salesforce Administrator or Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification
- Jira / Azure DevOps / Rally expertise
- Basic SQL for Marketing Cloud data work
- Understanding of customer experience (CX) and digital marketing concepts
