Responsibilities:
- Collect samples from production lines on a regular basis to meet different preset requirements on different tests
- Perform inspection and CCP checkups on in process products
- Perform final inspection of product including but not limited to review for completeness, label check, weight check, and visual inspection of final product
- Inspect various incoming products and raw materials. Identify and control non-conforming materials
- Assist with document control including organize, file and review QA documents
- Assist with pre-operational process
- Address any questions and concerns on food safety and quality assurance with QA management in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in QC role or a fast paced food manufacturing environment prefered
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment
- Ability to do basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to work flexible schedule depending on operational needs
- Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Physical requirements include frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.; For instances when an employee is required to lift more than 50 lbs they must work in teams of two or use the proper equipment and tools for the job/task at hand. Ability to walk and stand for at least 2 hours or more; exposure to loud noise, dust, chemicals, etc.
