A well-established beauty brand is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join its in-house creative team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical editing capabilities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced post-production environment.
Location: Culver City/Mar Vista (Onsite, Monday–Friday)
Type: Temp To Hire
Pay: 38-43/hr | 80k-90k (DOE)
Responsibilities
- Edit a wide range of content including TikTok and Instagram Reels, YouTube videos, brand films, sizzles, and case studies
- Import, transcode, sync, and organize raw footage according to established workflows
- Create rough assemblies, string-outs, and timelines based on briefs, scripts, or creative direction
- Support light color correction, audio leveling, and basic motion graphics needs
- Maintain organized project files, labeling structures, and storage systems across shared drives and cloud platforms
- Export and deliver final assets in varying codecs, formats, and aspect ratios
- Manage revisions, version control, and file delivery according to specifications
- Collaborate with senior editors, creative directors, producers, and other team members
- Troubleshoot basic post-production issues related to software, hardware, or workflow
- Stay informed on emerging editing tools, platform requirements, and industry best practices
Requirements
- 2 years of professional video editing or post-production experience (internships and freelance work welcome)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve
- Experience with ARRI, RED, Canon, or Phantom workflows
- On-set DIT experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of codecs, file formats, and post-production workflows
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication abilities and the capacity to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting
- Interest in beauty, fashion, or consumer lifestyle content
- Must be available to work onsite Monday–Friday
