Job Description
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform IBM i administration, including system installs, PTF deployment, and HMC maintenance.
- Perform system firmware, software installation, configuration, and security requirements.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Review system logs, application logs, and verify the successful completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups.
- Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution, and follow-up for system, application, and customer problems.
- Provide monthly reporting regarding system performance and assist with capacity planning requirements.
- Maintain 3rd party software applications and participate in Disaster Recovery testing.
