Key Responsibilities
EDI Development & Integration
Configure and manage EDI setups, mappings, and envelope configurations
Develop and maintain EDI maps for X12, EDIFACT, and XML formats
Design, develop, and implement EDI integration solutions
Support new customer implementations and onboarding
Partner & System Management
Manage and maintain B2B partner EDI setups
Modify existing partner configurations to meet internal and external requirements

About the Role
How you will contribute
- Coordinates trading partner’s and the company's Global EDI/EC requirements, standards, and communication protocols
- Coordinates and assists in level 1 technical support and troubleshooting of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions
- Communicate system and interface availability, modifications, and problems to internal and external stakeholders as needed and according to established policies and procedures.
- Manages and facilitates all VAN communications, requirements, and setups with trading partners
- Manages customer B2B portals for security access and notifications to users
- Solid understanding of all general EDI concepts, communication protocols, and messaging standards including but not limited to ANSI x/12, UN/EDIFACT, XML, SAP IDOC, etc.
- Analyzes new EDI/EC requirements, opportunities, identifies business impact, and defines system scope.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of where and how assigned disciplines are utilized across the organization, including developing a baseline level of knowledge and providing support for EDI/EC integration
- Establishes and maintains electronic trading partner relationships, identifying and evaluating new partner requirements and ensures that visibility of these requirements is maintained at all levels of the organization
- Manages trading partner relationships/requirements and works with a wide variety of users and business managers to ensure visibility of customer requirements.
- Identifies, documents, and communicates trading partners EDI communications requirements such as VAN, AS2, FTP, SFTP, etc., to stakeholders
- Performs unit testing on transaction map development and EDI work flow ensuring customer requirements are met and expected inputs and outputs meet the requirements of the backend and customer’s systems
- Other duties as assigned
Your Key Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor degree required in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology and or significant relevant experience with a combination of equivalent professional training and certifications.
- Prior experience in an EDI position with knowledge of EDI systems – EBM Sterling Integration Suite preferred.
- Experience operating an EDI system, including: communications, mapping, administration and coordination.
- Tier One/OEM Automotive, Logistics, Technology company experience.
- Technical knowledge: Database Technologies, Oracle, Progress, Natural, Web Technologies, SQL*Plus, and PL/SQL, Infrastructure Technologies, WMS, SAP/ERP Applications, Automotive, Technology, and Logistics customer applications, EDI Standards (EDIFACT, X12, Odette, VDA, XML, etc.), HPUX, Windows operating platforms.
- EDI Applications:IBM Sterling Integrator Map Editor, Extended Rules, IBM Sterling Integrator Enveloping, IBM Sterling Integrator Scheduling, Deployment.
- EDI Communication technologies (VAN, FTP, OFTP, ANX, TCP/IP, etc.).
- Concepts, methodologies, and best practices with WMS, SAP, or other ERP applications.
