**Role Summary/Purpose:**
The SVP & Chief Marketing Officer, Home and Auto is responsible for the marketing strategy, team leadership and program execution focused on achieving client and business objectives for the Home and Auto platform.

**Essential Responsibilities:**
Collaborate with Chief Growth Officer, Platform CEO, Sales Leaders and Platform cross-functional leadership to drive growth of the Home and Auto platform.
Partners with Chief Growth Officer to deliver on strategic priorities for enterprise-wide opportunities across Synchrony.
Serve as principal marketing contact on issues affecting clients, secure funding/support for critical initiatives, and identify new strategic partnerships or marketing opportunities.
Determine best use of marketing funds to deliver against growth targets and optimize returns.
Serve as principal marketing contact on issues affecting clients, secure funding/support for critical initiatives, identify new strategic partnerships or marketing opportunities.
Build relationships with our strategic Partners C-suite (especially Marketing leaders) to influence, solve problems and grow the overall book of business
Lead interaction with key individuals on cross functional initiatives with leaders from Risk, Finance, Sales, Strategy and IT. Optimize investment and determine best use of marketing funds to deliver against growth targets and optimize returns.
Drive ongoing strategy for value proposition enhancements, new product opportunities and other innovations.
Deliver repeat sales and loyalty among existing cardholders through innovative offers, targeting, and campaign strategies.
Lead team to monitor competitor and credit industry trends to proactively identify SYF innovation opportunities to deliver for our partners.
Leading team to ensure operational excellence and strong controls in areas of loyalty, campaign execution, and advertising compliance.
Develop, engage and inspire team of about 90 employees.
Develop team members to improve individual and organizational goals through thoughtful and interactive engagement and coaching.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

**Qualifications/Requirements:**
Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED and 20 years work experience in Marketing, Strategy or General Management in Financial Services
15 years experience in Marketing, Strategy or General Management in Financial Services or like industry/heavily regulated industry
5 years Leadership experience in large Matrix Organizations with strong regulatory oversight
Strong influencing experience and capability of CEO and C-Level Officers of Large Publicly traded organizations
**Desired Characteristics:**
Strong Credibility in the Finance or quantitative analytics functions
Ability to lead multiple levels of professionals of large organizations
Collaborate vision creation experience
MBA
P&L Experience of business units
Leadership experience leading or as a C-Level functional leaders of large business unit in a major financial services organization
**Grade/Level: 17**
**Eligibility Requirements:**
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
