Summary
The Front End Supervisor oversees and supervises the obtainment of patient and order information. Enters information into the order entry system.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the complete entry of physician information into the system.
- Oversees the entry of new medication orders and refills.
- Supervises the sorting of orders obtained from fax machines.
- Coordinates and manages the preparation of invoices, shipping documents.
- Receives and responds to escalated customer complaints and/or issues.
- Reviews and verifies customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
- Directs specified departments to prepare and ship orders to designated locations.
- Checks inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
- Supervises the review of orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forwards incomplete orders for further processing.
- Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Minimal travel including overnight stay as necessary.
- Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.
- Supports facilities, departmental goals and the overall objectives of the Company.
- Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
- Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.
- Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards.
- High School degree or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
Experience:
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ order entry, sales, or service center experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.
- Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
- Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
