Synaptics is seeking a creative and strategic marketing professional to be the VP, Corporate Marketing. You will play a key role in developing and executing the corporate story and strategic plan, overseeing a global team, and directing the marketing and communication efforts of the organization. This role will have great impact as the company expands processors into the broader market and continues to nurture legacy products. This position reports to the SVP, Global Sales and Marketing.
The typical base pay range for this position is USD $227,000 - $357,500 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
Job Duties
- Developing and Executing Marketing Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives including setting clear goals, identifying target audiences, and defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Budget Management: Allocate resources effectively to marketing programs and initiatives, and track and optimize expenditures to ensure a strong return on investment (ROI).
- Brand Management: Define and maintain the company's brand identity, ensuring that it is consistent across all marketing channels and materials, including overseeing branding guidelines, messaging, and visual elements.
- Campaign Development: Oversee the development and execution of well-coordinated marketing campaigns aligned with the overall strategy which may include advertising, content marketing, email marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, events, and more.
- Performance Measurement: Regularly assess the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives against key metrics using data-driven analytics tools to make decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
- Relationship Management: Collaborate Sales, Product Development, and business units, to ensure alignment with marketing efforts and support business goals. Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners.
- Market Expansion: Identify opportunities for market expansion and growth, potentially through new market segments, product lines, or geographic regions.
- Crisis Management: During marketing crises or issues, develop and execute strategies to mitigate negative impacts and protect the company's reputation.
- Compliance: Ensure that all marketing activities adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines, including data protection, advertising standards, and industry-specific regulations.
- Trend Awareness: Stay current on marketing trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to keep the company's marketing efforts competitive and innovative.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent
- 15 years in B2B marketing in the semiconductor industry or similar including 7 years leading teams
- Proven experience as a VP, Marketing, Sr. Marketing Director, or other senior marketing role
- Proven track record of driving business growth
- Proven track record of organizational leadership, inspiring innovation, and building collaborative, high-performing teams
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop plans that are executable
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality products on time and within budget
- Strong problem-solver and decision-making skills in complex and rapidly changing environments
- Travel required to international trade shows and events. Semi-Annual travel to Synaptics regional offices in support of corporate marketing initiatives and programs.
