Position Overview
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a skilled Pediatric Neuropsychologist to be the cornerstone of our new neuropsychology service line. As the sole neuropsychologist in our practice, you will have a significant impact on the integration of neuropsychological services within our care model. You will operate with clinical autonomy and strong administrative support to provide premier neuropsychology services to the community.
This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about making a lasting contribution to a growing practice. You will be based at our Richardson clinic, where you will have a dedicated private office and the resources needed for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Neuropsychological Evaluation & Consultation:
- Provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents with a variety of presenting concerns (e.g., ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, genetic conditions, epilepsy, TBI).
- Manage the full evaluation process: conducting clinical interviews, administering and scoring tests, writing integrative reports, and providing clear, thoughtful feedback to patients and families.
- Provide consultation to families, physicians, and our internal therapy team, thoroughly reviewing evaluation results and offering actionable strategies for intervention.
- Consult with potential patients and their families to determine if neuropsychological services are appropriate.
- Practice Management & Clinical Leadership:
- Serve as the clinical expert and point person for neuropsychology within the practice.
- Establish and manage clinical protocols and workflows for neuropsychological evaluations.
- Select, procure, and maintain a comprehensive battery of assessment tools.
- Professional Development:
- Attend classes, workshops, and presentations to maintain licensure and stay current with evidence-based practices and research.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology or a related field from an APA-accredited program.
- Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship.
- Completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in pediatric neuropsychology.
- Licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Texas (or license-eligible with the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire).
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred:
- Board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology through ABPP/ABCN, or demonstrated eligibility and intent to pursue certification.
- Prior experience working in a private practice or an autonomous clinical setting.
- A strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
