Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, code, and test applications using IBM Assembler.
- Work across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Debug and troubleshoot mainframe applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for assembler programs.
- Provide technical support for mainframe systems and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Optimize application performance and maintain system reliability.
- Collaborate with system architects, analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient low-level machine code.
- Stay updated with the latest mainframe technologies and assembler programming practices.
Requirements:
- 10 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe Assembler programming.
- Strong expertise with IBM z/OS operating system.
- Experience with the complete SDLC.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe architecture and system programming.
- Experience with JCL; knowledge of COBOL, CICS, and DB2 is a plus.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
